Community

The Swan Shopping Centre supports local charities and allows a different charity each month to raise money in the centre.

We recognise local communities as stakeholders in our business because of the long-term impact our property can have on them. Indeed, our community investment policy explicitly states: “We will pro-actively seek to create and support community investment programmes to bring about healthy communities."

Eastleigh Rotary Club

The Swan Centre supports Eastleigh Rotary Club who are a small club of some 22 members, founded in 1949 who meet at the Concorde Club, Stoneham Lane every Monday.

Mayor of Eastleigh Charity Appeal Beneficiaries

The Swan Centre also works closely to support the Mayor of Eastleigh’s charity appeal beneficiaries which are currently: Liberty Child and Naomi House Children’s Hospice

Liberty Child was founded in 2001 and provides holidays for children from the Hampshire area with physical and learning disabilities. Staffed entirely by volunteers, Liberty Child pays all the cost of the holiday from funds raised. Since 2001 Liberty Child has been able to take 70 very special children on holiday.
Registered charity number: 1002832

Naomi House Children’s Hospice opened in June 1997 to provide respite care, terminal care and bereavement support for children and families from across the south of England. It now costs over £2 million a year to provide and extend the service, and with no statutory funding available, they are dependant upon voluntary and charitable support.
