History of centre

The Swan Shopping Centre was opened to the public in July 1989 in the centre of this prosperous Hampshire town. His Worship the Mayor, Councillor P E Speary laid the foundation stone on 09 March 1988 .

The Swan Shopping Centre is situated in Eastleigh town centre and is a covered, pedestrianised scheme. It covers an area of 220,000 sq ft and is located in the heart of Eastleigh off the main shopping streets (High St & Market St). The Centre’s anchor retailers are Tesco, T K Maxx, Boots, Next, Monsoon and Argos.

With a population of 120,000 living within a 5-minute drive time of the Centre, the Swan Shopping Centre plays an important part of life in the Eastleigh community.

The Swan Shopping Centre is seen as a community shopping centre in the eyes of its loyal shoppers and offers great value and convenience shopping.
