Calling all designers
We are calling on all local designers and students to help create a new image for the Swan Centre.
As the redevelopment work is well underway, it has been agreed that the Swan Centre needs a new look – so members of the public have been asked to design a new logo for the centre. There are prizes, including an Apple iMac for the winning designer.
Dee Buffone, Manager of the Swan Centre, explains: “The new leisure development, which is due for completion later this year, needs a new logo and who better to design it than local people? It is a fantastic opportunity for any local designer, or design student, to showcase their talents and also to win a fantastic prize.”
Invitations to enter have been sent out to local schools, colleges and universities and you can download an entry from this page. The competition is open to people of all ages and all entries must be emailed to the centre by 30th April.
The winner will not only be able to see their design in pride of place on everything from newspaper advertisements to the website, but they will also win an Apple iMac 2.0GHz computer with wireless mouse and keyboard, as well as Adobe Creative Suite (design standard).
